Hello all

We have recently moved an application from the mainframe to a client-server environment. The data entry people are unhappy that they can no longer use the + key on the num pad as the tab key. Is there any code that could be inserted into the startup script to perform the task? We turn on the num lock this way so I thought this might be possible.

The Win2k Resource Kit has a program called Remapkey.exe. This program will allow you to remap any key on your keyboard. I've used it to tweak my keyboard. I just tried your "+" to "tab" remap and it works fine. Beware, this change is made for the system, not just the user who is logged on.

What I do is cheat. I use this freeware tool to make the registry edit, then export the key from the registry and add a line to the logon script:

regedit /s exported_registry_file.reg
