Keyboard locked on hyperterminal into Mermail

Hi,

I am connected via hyperterminal into our remote location and my keyboard is locked. Anything I do it does nothing. After running through and pounding the kb I got this.

This is the screen of the terminal [DSP Port Status]????

I've control right ] and did logo and it did nothing to clear.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe a possible baud rate issue

I have baud set @ 9600 and VT100

Are your softkeys responding at all? (either F1 or F6?)

dyperterm is almost worthless for mermail... not much better for the switch.. invest in a copy of procomm, it will save you hours of problems...

@pacojonezl40 ...Thank you for your response. F1 responds with hyperterminal help file but that's it. F6-F10 don't respond.

you may need to map the f keys.. if you can emulate an x20 term i usually try vt-320, then the app may be able to define your f keys.. that is what the 220 was supposed to do when it replace the vt100 series.. i don't have that keyboard mapping since we moved up to call pilot..

Here's the wierd part. They worked 2 weeks ago and for the past 10 years. I've tried rebooting the modem but that's it. I have to be doing something wrong

Is there a local terminal? If so can someone look at it and see how it acts?

f6 is not sening the correct control char.. i have posted it here, maybe two years ago.. do you have it working local? if so can you look at the keyboard map in that mode.. that is usually the problem.. and the reason i always use and recogemend a more flexable software

I'm actually remote admin to all our affiliates across the US. This office is in WV and the admin there on ODT isn't able to either.

Check all of the above then verify there is paper in the printer. My Mer Mail locks up if it cannot print.
