Dowloaded and installed security update from Microsoft.
Re-booted pc. Keyboard Active during bootup, able to choose option off menu : Windows NT or Windows NT VGA Mode.
Once it has reached the "CTRL,ALt,Delete" screen the keyboard and mouse are now not active. Get message that a device has not loaded successfully nad refer to the EventViewer. But cannot go any further as keyboard is inactive.

Have you tried choosing the 'last known good configuration' option during startup?

I have tried 'Last known goo configuration' this did not cure the problem.
