I hope I explain my issue well enough.

I have copied the TN programming below. This is on a CS1000 4.5 system.

The FDN and HUNT for this phone (4000) goes to voice mail (Call Pilot Rls 5).

There are 3 separate voice mail boxes for 4356 and 4299 and 5213.

DN 4299 and 5213 also appear on the director's phone, but as non ringing SCR's.

The phone printed below is the secretary for the director who answers 5213 and 4299 first.

Question: If the secretary is away from her desk, but the director is in and he wants to answer 5213 and 4299, how can I program the sets so that he knows to answer 5213 and 4299 since his phone does not ring?

I thought of using an overflow DN so that when the secretary leaves her office, she could call forward her phone to this overflow number which would ring on the directors phone, but this will only handle key 00 and not key 1 or key 2.

I hope what I have written is described well enough.

Thanks.

Had to think of a scenerio that does not take key 0 along for the ride. Forward No Answer is denied btw on the posted set.

You might want to look at Delayed Ringing (DNDR) on the Director's phone. DNDR uses seconds, not number of rings.
In other words, his phone will be blinking on the SCN line for x number of seconds before it actually starts ringing. You'll have to play with different numbers of seconds.

Thanks for picking up on the FND setting. I'll change that right now.

For the DNDR is that a system setting or a TN setting for the number of seconds to ring?

Found my answer for the DNDR setting. It's on a TN basis and can be up to 120 seconds.

I did some testing and I do believe that this feature will work quite well for my situation.

Thank you so very much for your help!
