Hello,

We run our Time and Attendance software on an NT Server
Acer Altos 1100. This means that we require the server to be in constant correct time.

Problem is however that the system time is fast, it increases by 20 seconds a day.

Is there any solutions out there that keeps the system time in sync with the true time.

Thanks

If you have another NT server that keeps the correct time you could tell your time and attendance software server to sync with that one by using the:

net time \\ntserver /set /y

and you could schedule it to run a batch program with the above line by using the AT command or other scheduling software, maybe even after your backup's have finished.

Hope this helps

If your server has access to the internet, you could run AboutTime, a freeware app that will reset your server's clock to agree with any of several time standards - Naval Observatory, NIST, etc. You can find it at

There is a software that is free called "Atomic Clock Sync" it can be found on this website:

I have been using this for a few months and it keeps perfect time on the server.
