Hi, I will be creating a front end access database (which I have no clue yet) but one of the requirement is to keep the historical data of one field. Is it possible? How? Any suggestion?

Have you seen:
Transaction Log for Ms. Access
faq181-291

Does this means that I would need to set up my database in server to store the historical data? This cannot be done in Access alone?

The FAQ mentioned is intended to be used in 'plain' Access. What the code does is check if a field is changed and write the information to a history table. I intended it as an exapmple of what you wish to do, all sorts of extras can be added, such as only save the field to history if the tag is set to something and so on. It is, basically, an answer 'yes, it can be done and here is one way'.

Oh. I didn't know there was a link. Let me check the FAQ first. Thanks.
