Keep routed from starting

They installed a firewall here at the university. I need to prevent routed from starting whenever I reboot. The other option is to manually kill routed each time I have to reboot. How do I prevent routed from starting?

Check /etc/rc2.d/S85tcp. There should be a few lines in there to check for routed and run it. You can comment these lines out so it won't start at boot up.

Thanks. That did prevent routed from running. The only problem is that S99route does not run and establish the gateway. I can do that manually when I reboot but it would be nice to start S99route automatically. What file would I edit to add the S99route?

Something else is happening also - Netscape starts up when I reboot. I edited etc/default/tcp to add my gateway and change the broadcast address. The original broadcast was 192.168.1.255. I changed it to our campus ip xxx.xx.xxx.255. Has that change caused Netscape to start on bootup? If so can I go back to the original broadcast address w/o affecting my network?

Your help is sincerely appreciated.
