Is it possible to remove MSN Explorer and yet retain MSN Messenger? Since IE6 is there I don't want MSN Explorer because I'm always being told that I have signed on elsewhere and this is all confusing to my 75 year old mother.

Try the Add or Remove section, Windows Components.

See if you can uncheck MSN Explorer. If it also removes MSN Messenger, try using Windows Messenger or download the latest MSN Messenger.

go to add/remove programs and remove msn internet software (or msn, or msn explorer)

you can remove msn without worrying about removing messenger since they are two completely different softwares.

to download the latest versions of messenger go to

and download the latest version.

if you don't find it in add/remove then go to add/remove then windows components and uncheck it from there.

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, while others wonder what happened.
