Keboard problems

When I power my PC on, my keyboard does not work after Windows has completed loading. I have to turn the PC off, turn the power to everything off, then power back on. Then the keyboard works. A Windows restart does not work, only completely powering back on.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can track down the source of this problem?

Let me know what other information, if any, you need.

Are you using a USB keyboard or a PS2 Keyboard?

quix: I'm using a PS2 Keyboard. BTW, I've already tried another keyboard I know works, and I have the same problem.

could be the port went bad..... did you try reinstalling a new operating system or repair the installing see if that works. If not the port is bad :-/ you could also check the device manager to see if you have conflicts. let me know !
