KB2661637 will not install

This is the fix for a vulnerability in the Indeo codec which could allow remote code execution. Trouble is that it will not install.

The log file reads as follows: -

I wish that the log file had stated what the prerequisites were. Could it be that the update is not required on this particular system?

Thanks. I finally decided to disable Indeo with a Microsoft Fixit #50326. It is Windows XP Pro SP3 which is why I was mystified by the refusal.
