trying to get a JVC camera to work with my laptop, running XP Home Edition. Won't recognize the camera. Gives the equipment malfunction error, which I know isn't true. I downloaded the USB drivers from driverguide.com Does anyone know anything about specific locations to put them after extraction or anything like that to make XP recognize the camera? Very weird/frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Dell Inspiron 1100
Intel Celeron 2.0
256 mb ram
Windows XP Home Edition

JVC camera is the GC-QX3 3.3megapixels

Have you installed the specific camera drivers from JVC off the cd that came with the camera?
