Wow, this seems like a cool new language from dBase. I just read the FAQ and some docs on dbase.com, and it seems very interesting.

Anyone fully used it yet?

I am very curious as how fast is it comparing the Notorious Fox :)

Also, i am very interested in the Data over the web and reporting over the web...

Glad this forum was creating...

Peace everyone!

What are you talking about ?
This isn't a new language as far as I know.
It is at least 30 years old.

Unless I am missing something.

Hey CSR, I meant a new upgrade to dBase. I am well aware of dBase and the evolution. I programmed in dBaseIII and in Clipper ;-)

I was referring to the new dBase Plus which is I guess an upgrade of the Visual dBase 7.

Oh ...

I didn't realize that the DBASE product was still evolving.
I thought it died a couple of years ago.

I was beginning to wonder if Id stumbled into a time warp. dBase still alive? I thought it died with version 5. that brings back memories.... 286 machines, DOS 3.3 and amber monitors....

dBASE+ is exceeding superior to all of the vintage dBase products!! It works very fast and is as SQL-92 compliant as others. I can easily talk to other DBMS' (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.) within my applications. I can also easily use dBASE+ for a front end to various DBMS' which makes manipulating them a lot easier :D

CSR, as far as dead, DOS is supposed to be also, but look at the underlying code of Windows! Try it!!

By the way, I have been programming dBase since '83.
