Gosh, I wonder what score you would have made if you had studied?

I just passed the HW portion of the test on June 28. I am A+ Cert now. I dont feel any different though.

Kryolla,

I got my A+ on June 14th, after taking both tests on the same day. I can't say that I felt any different either.

Can't really say that I expected to, really.

Can you tell me how many questions you answered on the Hardware and OS sections.Well I will also like to know the type of material you used to prepare with?

lemsion,

The book I used, A+ Certification All-In-One Exam Guide, Fifth Edition, was written by Michael Meyers and Scott Jernigan. The cover price is $59.99, but I was able to find it online for about 1/2 off.

I can't say that I recall the number of questions on each portion of the exam, but even with rechecking all of my answers it only took about 90 minutes for both exams.

Hello Wishdiak I wish to know the maximum amount you use as fees for the exams or how much did you pay the fees for the two exams.

lemsion,

The CompTIA price for the exams is (or was) $290 ($145 x 2) for the A+ exams. Don't pay that much.

I ordered a practice CD with 1100 questions (that came in the mail after I had pased) as well as discount vouchers. The total was about $210 including shipping for the CD. I figured that if I didn't pass the first time out, the CD would be helpful. As it turns out, I didn't even look at the questions, since I passed both the first time.

From what I understand, you can get an even better discount on vouchers if you look around online.

How do I get the vouchers online and what if I have only the vouchers will any testing center allow me to take the exams with out paying any dollar.
Well I am in Cameroon and the fee for both Hardware and OS stands at $800 so it is too expensive here. Why so?
Was the $210 also for the exam fees

lemsion,

I booked my exam through Thompson Prometric. I don't know if they operate testing centers in Cameroon, but both Thompson and Vue take CompTIA vouchers for payment.

The $210 (US) that I paid included vouchers which were used as "payment" when I booked the exams.
