Just moved to SIP - cant withhold number or call internationally

Hi Guys,

Just moved to SIP on our Avaya IP Office and now users cant withhold number or call internationally. We also have a number which people call to pick up voicemails of automated numbers yet when they dial the number from a handset internally there is no sound, yet from an external number it works fine.

Any ideas?

With that much information all I can say is it either isnt setup correctly on the IPO and or firewall or the provider isnt allowing these things.

Cant dial internationaly
what is getting sent to line when you try - check system monitor
what is the reject reson - Check System monitor.

Cant withhold number
This can be more tricky, you may need to confirm with your sip provier how they handle this.

Silence when calling number for VM retival.
where are the VM mesages locates located?
if they are on your system why are you dialing an external number (calling out & back in)?
if a 3rd party external VM then there should be no issue




Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
With Gamma SIP trunks, international dialling is barred by default. Your provider may do the same thing.
 
All fixed thankfully.

Withhold number was fixed by the provider and International calls was that 00n short code was not pointing to the SIP line group.
