Hi, Just purchase CVPN 3005 on Ebay, I am having problem connecting to the console port. Is there any other way to connect to the CVPN3005? or is the CVPN Console port is bad.

Thanks,
KP

web interface? maybe the previous owner forgot to reset the unit

How are you connecting? As I recall, the 3005 console port does not use the same interface as Cisco's routers & firewalls.

Beleive the 3005 uses a straight through cable and not the srd rollover cable for console connection.

The 3005 does use a straight through cable. I just went through this, and it was very frustrating!

Hi
I don't remember cleary but you have to setup your port com for 19200 or 38400 kbps not 9600 kbps to connect to console
