joins option not "lit" in Impromptu admin version 1

Hi All,
I saw this question in thread401-918119, but its replies don't fit my situation. A previous developer, ON THIS PC, created this catalog. I need to modify the joins, but when I open the catalog as Creator in the administrator version of Impromptu, the catalog --> joins option on the menu bar is greyed out.

I've tried making a copy of this catalog, but the copy does the same thing. I have gone into Tools --> Options
--> File location tab and changed all the locations to folders in my own directory, but still no go.

Other ideas?

Sounds like you have a Read-Only copy of the catalog. Try right clicking on the filename and see if the Read-only box is checked.

Not read only, but thanks for your thoughts. I've since learned that we're using catalogs 'as delivered' from our vendor. I'm waiting for a reply from them about what I can do.
 
You may be using a 'distributed' or 'secured' catalog. They are sometimes used by VAR's to keep control over their catalogs.
