I haven't added a server to a domain in over 5 years and need to do so soon. The company is currently running one Win2k3 Server as their DC, DHCP, DNS, Exchange and SQL Server...yeah that's a load. They just recently added SQL and apparently it's just too much for it to handle and must be rebooted everyday. So, they're going to purchase a new server for SQL to run on by itself. So, my question is how do I add this new server to the domain as a member server?

On the Win2K3 server right-click on My Computer->Properties select the Computer Name Tab. From there click on the Change button and select Member of Domain.. then enter the name of your domain. Of course you will need the appropriate rights to add the ocmputer (if you don't already have them). Hope this helps.

That helps...I didn't realize I could do the same thing as adding a workstation. Thanks!
