Jobs stay scheduled

I'm running V8.60 since a couple of years without any problems. Since 2 days, my jobs stay scheduled. There's no entries in the event viewer, no alerts or anything.
Anyone have an idea why this could be?
I restarted the server, restarted all services, but still nothing. It's as if backup exec is turned 'offline' or so (can it ?).

Just noticed that the tape is offline.
Is there a way to get it back online without rebooting?

Check backupexec service running or not.

Check in the job monitor and try running it with run now option. Does it works with run now option or does it give U any error. If it is giving error then let me know.

I already tried the 'running now' option, but that didn't help. No error, the job just went into the queue with the other jobs.
I managed to get it working again by disabling and enabling the tape (under devices). The jobs run fine now.
Odd that it went offline like that, without an apparent reason.
