Jobs Fail when backing up SQL or Exchange Servers

I've got the remote agents installed on the servers and the appropriate agents on the media server (SQL and Exhange agents). There are a couple of skipped files in the logs, but I didnt' think that a job would get flagged as failed just because of skipped open (when I backup other servers the job is successful even if some open files are skipped). There are no corrupted files and there is nothing in the log with any carrots (^).

I think I can restore this data, but I'd really like to know why the jobs are failing...

Can you paste the contents of the job log here with any sensitive info xxx-ed out?

I found that the problem with Exchange was that there were mailboxes for accounts that were disabled. If that creates an error then Veritas should have the job log note it as an error...

SQL backups are going fine now, I'm not sure what exactly the problem was.

Is your SQL Server on a cluster? If so, you might want to check out this thread:

what errors do you mean? were there errors in the job log with the carat (^) signs?

I meant to type, "were there errors in the job log withOUT the carat (^) signs?"

Yes, there were errors without the carat.

I would like to recommend you go to (or e-mail Veritas support on their site) and let them know you found this problem (they'll probably need a copy of the job log), otherwise it might still be there in the next version of BE.

Do you mind pasting in the part of the job log that showed the error without the carats (^)? I'd like to see it for my own future reference... thanks in advance.
