Job stuck in ready state - can't hold or delete

Hi there,

I am running BE 9.1 and I have a really frustrating problem. I set up a restore job and set it running. The job changed into the Ready state (as seen on the job monitor) but it never actually started to do anything. I have tried to cancel, hold and also delete this job but with no affect. It seems like this job is not doing anything at all so I guess it's not causing problems but it's really annoying me so if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate the help.

Is your job waiting for the backup tape to be mounted? blonde

Thanks for the idea Blonde but I don't think that is what's going on.
I have loaded and unloaded the required tape a couple of times and checked the status of the device and none of that seems to make a differance.
