I am a novice with HP-UX and could use some help

When I check backups 7 out of 10 times I need to reboot to get the job running.

We have X-Vision 7.31 for remote access on a HP K class 9000 server.

No clues in the activity log or any other logs any help would be most appreciated

Hi

What method of backup are you running, is it fbackup and if so from within a script or via SAM, or are you using Omniback or some other means.

Thank-You in advance for your help (man do i need it)

We use ARCserve/Open 2.2c and run an autopilot full backup to a DLT4 tape drive.

Something else I have noticed but doesn't make sence to me is that when I access the session reports through the quick menu database icon before the nightly autopilot job it coincides with the problems of the job queue not releasing the job. This may only be a coincidence but I thought I would mention it.

Have a nice day
