Hi all,
little question:
Why in activity log type I find two different job id for same job? There is may master job id and a sub job id....why?

thank you

I don't really think that it's the same job ID for two different jobs. You probably have a pruning job that runs before the actual backup job and because of that it looks like it is the same job, but it's not.

I hope you find this post helpful.

GSC

Hi GSC,
thank you for your attention....but I have a job id and a Sub Job Id.
My log fyle reports this string:

09/09/08 04:12:49 202 FER51BCKRM Totals For................... SubJob 1

but I don't understand why?

It is a change in 12.0 to better support things like installations with more than one ARCserve server, multi stream jobs.

Actually, everytime a parent job creates a subjob it creates a new id number. This happens if you use the multiplexing option in the destination window.

Regards,

carlos alberto.

Hi cacruz,
thank you for your attention but we didn't select multiplexing option...I'm sure!

Thank you
