We cant see a JetDirect 500x on our Novell network.
We have figured out that if we plug in a HUB between the JetDirect box and the network we can PING the JetDirect box.
NETWORK_POINT--->HUB--->JetDirect_Box
Otherwise the JetDirect 500x is not visible on the network.
The JetDirect 500x has a firmware rev. j.08.20
Configured the IP through the HP software.
The message "unable to sense net number" on the hardcopy of the configuration page.
CISCO switches in the back end. Surely we dont have to step these down from 100 to 10 to allow communication?
NO queue setup for the printer as we are using IP printing?
We are using IP only no IPX.
