What model of the HP jetadmin printer do you use ?
Is it correct jetadmin software for Solaris 8?
Because I installed jetadmin first time. I didn't have any problem.Good Luck

Yes it is certified to work with my version

I have installed various printers say 30 or more and then suddenly come across thes errors instlling some more!!

I have some printers that i set up fine no probs!

Does anyone have any suggestions on this thread?

Kind Regards

restart lpsched. sometimes after you add a lot of printers, you need to restart the scheduler in order to enable and accept them. i have no idea why. if you look at ja.out in the tmp directory under jetadmin root (for example /opt/hpnpl/tmp) you will see a message saying:

UX:lpadmin: WARNING: The LP print service can't take another printer.
TO FIX: The printer configuration has been saved on disk nonetheless. Stop the LP print service (/usr/sbin/lpshut) and restart it (/usr/lib/lp/lpsched) to have it recognize the new printer.

After you restart the lp service, you'll need to enable and accept those printers.

Cheers Lancer73!!! I managed to delete the printer from the spooler and add it again no problems.

Is there a way to re-enable the printer again, as i could not find the option under the hp menu?

Thanks Again!

Sy
