I am trying to use a new applicaton called pctogo, it is saying I need to installed Java, I installed it, restarted to pc ... xp svs pack2 5.0 ie 7. I can see it under current programs. In the IE under advanced settings everything is checked off for Java. When I try to install pctogo it says Java not available.On my task bar it says Java script:window.open/httpsctogo.bellsouth.com I disabled Zone alarm. Any suggestions?

ZoneAlarm has often caused strange problems here and there. Disabling it is also not enough to prevent it from causing applications to fail. A better test might be to uninstall it and then check for the problem before re-installing ZoneAlarm. If you didn't want to go that far, you could try preventing it (and VsMon) from starting at Startup via MsConfig.

I assume you have already set ZoneAlarm to allow the appropriate accesses?

What version of Java you need (1.3, 1.4 or 1.5), and what browser & plugin do you have installed?

i will try disableing the firewall from sysconfig ...


Its the lastest Java from java.com, 7beta2 ie browser, not sure what pluggin ... where do I check.
