Java won't run after install of Norton IS Version 6

After installing Norton Internet Security Version 6 (NIS6)I cant get Yahoo Geo Cities, Page Builder to launch. I have to go into NIS6 and "Turn Off" "Security" to get it to work. Disabling Personal Firewall or Intrusion Detection or Privacy Control individually doensn't help I have to "Turn" Off "Security". Anyone know what the problem is? It used to work OK on version 5 of NIS but not version 6.
I have Sun Java 2 update 6 version 5.0.60.5 installed on my XP SP-2 PC.
