The Java and ActiveX viewers are not working on a users browser. Thet are not prompted to download the plug in either. Where is the best place to get the plug ins and why does it not prompt for the download. I have checked all the internet options.

The user may not have Local Administrative persmissions to their machine, which would prevent them from being able to install either viewer.

I've now logged on as Admin which has sorted the ActiveX viewer, cheers. However, Java viewer still isn't working.

We used to post the following instructions for the active x viewer in a Seagate Info environment. Maybe they'll help here.
-----------------------------------------
For problems with the Crystal Reports viewer program, such as an empty white box where the report should be, you may need to remove the ActiveX report viewer. Follow these procedures:

Search the client machine for crviewer.dll. If found:
Unregister the control by opening a DOS prompt and entering: regsvr32 /u "path\crviewer.dll (where path is the directory its located in)
Delete it

Navigate to winnt\downloaded program files and see if you have a "Crystal Smart Viewer" installed there. If it is installed, right-click and choose "remove". This will unregister and delete it from the ActiveX Cache.
