I am running Java version 8 update 66 (build 1.8.0_66-b18) which is current.

Both Firefox and IE take 30 seconds to load all the items/choices on the front page of BCM50 rls 6.
So at first the java box comes up under the Welcome to BCM but it is blank, wait about 30 seconds then all the items come up and the login pop up shows up.
Previously I had thought it was just not working as I didn't wait 30 seconds.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Java but same issue.
I installed a BCM50 r6 today and my clients new laptop has exact same issue on their IE browser, didn't have java at all....just downloaded and installed fresh today.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? and on this version of java?

I pretty well cheesed off with Java as stated in the replies above. The latest Java update (Version 8 Update 71) on which I made the mistake of doing on two computers running Windows 7 and 10 at 32 bit has caused Element Manager to deny me access onto any BCM sites.

I followed Brian's link, but found that I needed to agree to the conditions first which made it more tricky. I found this link
which took me to where I was able to download the previous release of Version 8 update 66.

Hopefully, you should be able to download this previous release.
I had to log in and create a free account before I could obtain it.

Just to say that all is OK now. Please don't update above release 66.

I am currently on 1.7.79 32 bit as I again had issue with .66 and .71.....however still the browser is 30 seconds to load no matter what version.

Note that if you also have EM state "Cannot find javaw.exe" then open (launch) EM from the main page in the browser instead.

Also when uninstalling sometimes helps to go to :

32 BIT
C:/ProgramFile/Java

or

64 BIT
C:/ProgramFile/Java

and delete any folders of versions you uninstalled.

-You can have several versions installed but enable or disable them from Control panel/Java under the Java tab select View.

It also still takes the BCM page in my browser (Firefox or IE) 30-45 seconds to fill in.

I just tested my old XP machine with IE6 and Java version 1.6, update 14. It also took about 45 seconds to fill in. So maybe this is an issue with the BCM50?

I guess 3 Billion Devices....are screwed!

Java is slowly being phased out.

As for the BCM if it is the root cause then I wonder what release or patch is causing this delay in loading.
