java.lang.NullPointerException while Connecting to HTTPS site

Iam encountering a
java.lang.NullPointerException when iam trying to connect to a HTTPS site for user authentication on Weblogic6.1 SP4.

Iam able to do the same on Tomcat without any problem but it fails in WebLogic....
any suggestions.? Any property or configuration changes to be made on weblogic for this to work?
