I'm working on a java chat applet. Whenever I try to run the applet from a browser, it has an error... something like:

java.lang.ClassFormatError: illegal constant pool type

Any idea what it might be? I got the same error when programming a "Hello World" applet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Gosling

You Java needs to be updated. As soon as your java has been updated, it seems you have to up date it again.
