I have been trying to work this problem out for a while now and ive hit the wall with it... cant work it out.

Running IE6 SP1 with XP Pro, trying to use Yahoo chat (which uses Java). Have gone to the Java webiste and done a download of all the updated java software.

When i punch in and try to get into a chat room on yahoo chat it comes up with "Loading chat applet down the bottom and then this comes up...

Unable to load applet

Have you tried to update your Microsoft Virtual Machine?

Seems yahoo is written to work with MVM rather than Sun VM

Does a windows update offer an update to it?

Well, the link is actualy linked to microsofts java page, and all that page really suggests is for you to go to the sun page and download it from there. Its like your running round in circles and neighter sun or microsoft really want to accept responsibilty for it.

Ill see if i can find something on the virtual machine update... havnt been able to find an update for it in the past but ill try again.
