Hi
Got bit of a problem. All of a sudden I am unable to use java as a normal user. All I get is the Hotjava VM error message, with no specific error number.
However it works fine as root.
I'v downloaded a newer version of the jdk, but still it does not work. I;v checked the permission, they are fine.
Because of this I am unable to use Openoffice, plus the web browers crash at a java enabled page.
I am using a ultra 10 solaris 9 with latest patch set. What is going on please. I need a quick solve ASAP, due to assignment due in on Friday.

thank you.

Check your PATH and compare it with root's path. Or you can use which to find out if you are using the same java version as root. Too bad I.T. is not cash business

Already checked.
But still no joy.
However I'v just found an java1.2 jre within solaris 9. That works. So why does 1.4.1 sdk work?
