IN java device manager, I am looking at some switchports, and one of the switchports has a red P on it. Why is this P red? Thanks.

and no, my switch doesn't have a blatter infection.
 
P" stands for Power. The color of the the letter P indicates the power status on the POE port. Red "P" on your port typically means that the port is not drawing power from your switch.

(I've not yet tried JDM on a switch that was not POE, so if it behaves differently for non POE switches, I don't know the answer.)
