Java/ByteVerify virus

I switched to windows 2000, and have acquired javabyteverify. I searched all direction and can find no way to get rid of it. I can't find signs of it but yet AVG
antivirus says I have it, but won't remove it. Anyone help

You can try getting rid of this by turning off your system restore, click on start>control panel>internet options> general tab>delete files. Run AVG and turn your restore back on. Hope this helps. It worked for me.
