Hi, AVG repaired the following:

Results of Complete Test, date and time 9/28/2003 0:16:10 :

Testing C:\ volume LOCAL DISK serial 3879-12F8
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\SUN\JAVA\Deployment\CACHE\JAVAPI\V1.0\FILE\VERIFI~1.CLA repaired
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\SUN\JAVA\Deployment\CACHE\JAVAPI\V1.0\FILE\VERIFI~2.CLA repaired

Test finished, duration 00:14:44.1 s
20512 objects tested, 2 found infected

The problem now being that I can no longer view many websites. One website, clerk of courts, at first would let me search for records but gave me an error that I needed to download Java Virtual Machine to see documents. I downloaded and now when trying to see the docs it just shuts down my IE, connection(dial-up) is not affected. I work from home and need information from sheriff websites (crashes IE also) and clerk of courts for the entire state of FL. Any help would greatly be appreciated, I am already almost two weeks behind. Thanks.

hello
i am new to this forum.
I am just a home P.C user running AVG FREE EDITION.
I am constlantly getting virus detected message.
"agrobot worm" which AVG cleans.
I seem to get this message when the pc is left idle for any length of time, yet have no real protection from it.

I note that you have AVG too and wondered if you have any suggestions.

If you are not the person to ask, please accept my appologies.

Sounds like your Java might have conflicted doing an overlay. REMOVE Java first. Then install a new version.
Any change?

It's best to start a new thread rather than tag onto an unrelated post. More people will see you that way.

Hi, I'm also using AVG anti-virus and have been inffected by the virus Java/Byte Verify. Please teach me how i can get rid of this virus cause I've update my AVG and tried to scan my laptop to fix this virus, but it doesnt seem to to get rid of it! Help me!

Never too late to catch an old virus! AVG found it for me this morning (wonder what naughty sites I was visiting to catch it <g>?), I have identified the ZIP file where it resides, but when I try to delete it I am informed it is busy, or "in use" so I can't whack it. Task Manager doesn't have anything recognizeable running that I would suspect. Any suggestions for how to get this li'l monkey off my back?
