Hi...I'm using IE.5 and seem to have lost the ability to view Java Appalets...any ideas?

Sun's JAVA support was dropped in IE5.5 I believe. You will probably have to go to SUN and download and install the Java plug-in separately joegz

Go to Tools>InternetOptions, click the Security tab, then the Custom Level button. Change Java VM to medium safety, then make sure all 3 scripting entries below are enabled.

What is the mesage recieved when you go to a MS-DOS prompt and type jview? If it says Couldn't locate Java Virtual Machine, you know you have to re-install the Java VM. What message did you recieve when trying to re-install Java VM? Look in c:\windows for a file called vminst.log. Look over the contents and post back with details.

re-download Java VM, this is the latest 3802 build:
