Jaggy postscript fonts when printing and onscreen

I have an iMac, am using Quark 4.11 in OS 9.2. Any postscript font I install appears jaggy in Quark both on screen and printed, though it works fine in Illustrator and Photoshop. (Also, True Type fonts are fine).

I have noticed that the extension "Font Creator" says it "failed to load" but attempts at re-loading are unsuccessful.

This seems like a bug. Any solutions?

I don't own ATM. All my fonts (which I'm currently using) -- yes, I have both screen fonts and printer fonts together -- are in my System Folder, Fonts folder. Do I have to own ATM to solve the problem? Has anyone successfully solved this same problem?

You do need ATM; the Mac OS didn't provide a way to render PostScript fonts onscreen until X. (No big deal, just download ATM Lite from Adobe's web site and install.)

Photoshop and Illustrator already incorporate font rendering so ATM isn't needed for them.
