Good Morning All.

I am currently running into an issue with the J179 handsets intermittently. We are running a powered by solution ipo release 11.0 GA build. J179 handsets are on 2.0.0.0.45 These are spread over a few sites. Between London and Switzerland. Randomly what happens when calling another internal ext on the same site, you get the signalling but there is no sound when you answer the phone. On Monitor/SSA you see the call being answered and connected but no sound. They then put down the phone and ring again and boom there is sound. I have a gut feeling that it is a firmware issue on the J179 handsets however just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this issue?

@TheSmash I have been reading release notes and cant find any resolutions for this issue. However there are resolutions for for transferring and no speech. Have you had a similar issue with the J179's?

Yes, and the 169's too. They have since stabilised with newer firmware.

Avaya don't put all their fixes in the release notes...

We have found that there is a delay with the audio after the J169's are rebooted. The first call after a reboot has about a 5-10 second delay before audio is heard. All calls after the first call are fine. This happens after every reboot of these phones.
