If this involves B channel transfers on CO calls, as in trunk-to-trunk like Centrex, make sure the CO switch is provisioned for this feature. I know it is available on DMS100 switches, but I don't know if the 5ESS has had a Generic update to support it yet. You might want to check with the service provider.
I've asked for this feature and the provider said it could be done. The switch that the PRI was built on couldn't do it so they rebuilt it on the one that could. And I'm not sure it is working on their end. What I'm tring to do is an applcation through ACD call sequence table. The caller will be transfered to a remote location and the two channels will release freeing them up.
What happens when you try to transfer the call? I am not familiar with the Iwatsu, but I do understand the functionality of some of the features of PRI ISDN and the CO switches.
Who is the service provider and what kind of switch is serving the PRI? I would assume the Iwatsu has specific options to enable in order for the PRI transfer to work.
Maybe to test the feature it might be easier to try it on regular station calls first, and make sure the feature works that way, before you try to create the ACD application and make it more difficult to troubleshoot.
Thanks for your input. The trouble was more with the tranfer funtion. It works great with regular lines on a flash xfer.I found out through Iwatsu that the 2b channel xfer is not supported. This cruched me, but I found a way around it. The telco is going to set up trunk groups and that will allow 6 call in then busy fwd to the remote location. This saved my tail on this job, next time I will do my home work!
Thanks again and I look fwd to the next chat.
Even though Iwatsu let me down I still stand by their product!
