i've just brought two used hp netserver lh pro 200. Now i trying to find out how i can used them. any ideas or suggestions?

You mean like for the usual server services, DNS, mail, web, LDAP, file/print, app/terminal services, etc etc etc? Or (seeing that you're an instructor) helping the students? What do you teach?

I don't have one. I'm guessing they're old HP PentiumPro 200MHz servers, if they correspond with HP's usual naming scheme. Anything special about them?

steve,

i hope i didn't appear ungrateful about asking if you had a netserver. i justed wanted to know. in answer to your question about what i teach, i teach basic msoffice and windows (95-98).

your suggestions about possible uses were good. in fact, i have decided to load linux and use it as a file server or something. still not quite sure but at least i have a few ideas.

please feel free to ask if you have questions or other suggestions.

I had a few installed as domain controllers in an NT 4.0 domain, and a few providing file & print services. They have since been retired, though.

The LHPro is a workhorse.

Just a quick question on HP LH Pro 200Mhz servers, anyone who has one happen to have a rail mount kit for one they would be willing to sell?

Thanks,
Darren
