itunes 7 coverflow with ipod

Hi, recently upgraded to itunes 7 and am quite happy with the new coverflow feature. I would like to use it with my ipod though as I store most of my music on this. The views are however, greyed-out is this because this feature is incompatible with ipods?
I am running iTunes 7, OS/X 10.3.9, with a 60gb ipod photo.

I think your ipod has to be 5th generation for this feature to work.

Shucks! well that sucks.. what's the point in making an album artwork feature that doesn't work with ipods with album artwork support..
oh yeh.. to push upgrades, nice..
