I had created a query. So,I want to write some VB6.0 codes to edit some fields and some records in the query.
Can I do?

You have to be more specific. What are you editing?

Thank for you!
My means,it's like this :the query has many fields,
I want edit some records and only one field Namein the query. But ,system tells me the object is lock or ready-only!

You cannot edit data in the query, you can only update data in the table.

Thank you!
It is say all "edit " in every query cann't do .

You can edit data in a query IF the query is updateable and you have used it to open a data sheet, populate a form or create a recordset. But as IGK points out, you are really updating the underlying table. Terry L. Broadbent
