I am trying to use this unsuccessfully with a combobox. I noticed a thread that mentioned not having more than 1 column but I'm assuming this does not include specifying 2 fields in order to use the boundto property for the PK. I have a combobox which specifies fields as the type with the field list being a name, primary key. I have the boundto set to 2. However, I have not specified wanting multiple columns because I only want to display the name. Can anyone help me with getting itemtips to work? Even when taking out the multiple columns it doesn't seem to work so I feel like I'm missing the setup of another setting.

Sorry if this is stating the obvious, but can we assume that you have set the ItemTips property to .T.?

Also, are you aware that the tips only show if the value is wider than the width of the control?

Mike

Yes, and I have figured out the issue. I thought this would work more like a tooltip, I didn't realize that it only displays when you're in the combobox scrolling down the list, I was hoping it would display a tooltip if you just moused over the combobox. So thanks anyway for the reply.

Tool tips only work if the Form's ShowTips property is set to .T.

Regards,

Mike
