There is something wrong with my DSN. I have Servers 2003 domain and network. On any system with any OS,when I load the internet, it takes about half a minute to load up the website. After it loaded the website for the first time it start to work properly. If I log out and log back in, the it created the same problem. Does not matter which web site I go to, it will take so long to load if I open IE the first time after log on. If I changed my DNS to use my ISP's DNS, then I do not have this issue. What is wrong with my DNS setup?

But if you use ISP's DNS do you have problem like slow logon on XP machines? If you have no XP machine then leave it like that but if not then assuming your DNS is in Server2003 then point DNS ip entry to itself not the ISP's then use FORWARDERS(ISP's ip should be entered here). On the workstation just point the DNS entry to Server2003's ip.

We do have XP machine and they are slow as well. We do have the DNS server point to itself and also has forwarders set up to point to the ISP as well. All workstations also point to internal DNS for resolution.

What is the result when you run netdiag/fix (download netdiag.exe)? What is the result of nslookup? Is it working properly?

Has this always been the problem from the beginning? Have you tried clearing the cache on the DNS server?
