Hi,
So I did all that.
In shop my image size is w19.15 h 10.16
when I print and measure my image the size is W19.15 and H10.16.
In quark I've made a new doc A4, with a picture box W191.5 and H 101.6 I've got and placed the image in the box.
next when I print and measure, my image is W18.3 and H9.7, but on my screen it still tells me that the size is correct?????
What and Why????
Is it gone mad?

Thank you for helping me with this problem.
Yet I cannot highlight the fit in print area box and the
reduction is set to 100%.
Could it have anything to do with my printer?
Could the printer be reducing the size of an A4 so it would not bleed if I had an image the exact size of an A4?
Would be strange though!

Foamcow,

I just did a test making a document A4 and placing an colour image A4 size on it.
I printed it and the result was left it didn't print the first 2 mm, right 11 mm and top and bottom 4.25.
Now I'm about sure that could be why my image has shrunk but this raises a new question.
If I would go to a printers to have it printed proffesionaly, how do I know it won't happen there?

It won't. Keep in mind that it's probably not a problem with Quark, but a combination of print drivers and hardware. A professional printer will have far superior equipment than you have.

If you try to print an A4 page to an A4 printer then the chances are the printer will not print right to the edges of the paper. (Some printers do offer edge to edge printing though). You see, the printer has to leave a margin around the edge, this margin is rarely equal on all sides.

If you had "fit to print area" clicked, then that would explain why your print came out smaller than actual size. It's probably around 90-93% right? That's Quark reducing the output to fit within the printable area of your printer.
