Issues with suse server 10

I am running BrightStor Arcserve 11.5 sp2. I have this running successfully with 20 servers with Linux and windows OS. Lately I have put Suse server 10 on two servers and now I cannot connect to the agent on these machines. The agent starts fine and even shows up in the backup manager, it even when you enter the login details it connects to the server then says "cannot connect to agent". This is only on the two machines running Suse Server 10.

My question is, are there any know problems running the agent on Suse Server 10.

still not supported as per the compatibility matrix, keep checking the download page for an update subscribe to the enews for automatic notification is my guess.

If you can setup a share from the Linux end and a mapped drive from the windows end the data can be backed up via the Preferred Shares object in the Backup Source tree.

Hi, we've had a similar problem with opensuse 10.2 and linux agent 11.5. Solved this way:

1- Edit the /opt/CA/BABcmagt/agent.cfg file and comment the line
#ENV LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.18

2- Type on a root console
caagent disable all

3- Type on a root console
caagent enable all

And that's all. It has worked for us, hope it works for you too.
