G'day all,

Im having some issues with some various systems around my region. There was originally a Digital handset at a location, something has happened and now the handset wont initialize. There are other handsets in the same area so distance should not be an issue. An f-set (cable tracer) is able to get through and it appears as tho the line has the required voltage but yet the handset wont initialize. Also an analogue signal can pass through, no issues at all.

Has anyone else had this perculiar issue? Its definitely baffled us at our shop!

Thanks!

Chalky.

If you are connected to an unprogrammed digital Len it will not initialize try jumpering a known working service to the offending pairs and see what happens, also swap the known working extension to the outlet in question. If it doesn't work then it has to be a cabling fault if it does then either the Len has problems or the phone.

Its definitely a Cable fault. A different digital port wont work. But an analogue port will.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Chalky

Other than fix the cable fault or swap pairs, I don't think there is another solution!
