Issues with aloha

I’m dealing with an issue with an older version of aloha. Namely, 5.2.4.24. What I’m running into is approximately every five hours, the terminals will not load the point of sale, but will in fact crash the program. The only solution that I have found to restore operation is to rename the trans.log file and it will go on it’s merry way. I I found a couple issues with the terminals, and corrected them. The server is running 2008 server, with xp terminals. The terminals are dell optiplexes, that have been fine until the server was replaced. The old server failed, so I had to move everything to the new one. It was working for a while once it was moved over. But since has failed, and now does almost like clockwork about every 5 hours. Any suggestions?

Have you set lana number on server, setup shares correctly? Registered CTLsvr correctly.

Yes on all three. Lana is set to 0 for the appropriate network, the share point is set properly, with full access to all users, ctlsvr runs with no issues whatsoever.
