Issues w/ volume on SS401+?

Hi all,

Recently, we just replaced a SS401+ because it had a bad hookset and the volume level was not working properly.
Mitel replaced the SS401+ phone with another SS401+ phone.

Now, the ss401 volume seems to be ok when we call someone.

However, when someone calls us, the phone volume level is very quiet? We can barely hear them.

We have tried adjusting the volume while talking as it states in the manual.

Could we have another trouble-some phone? It was just replaced - is there a feature that I'm missing on the phone or in the system?

Should I just call Mitel back and ask for another phone or tech support?
Thought someone in the forum could help me first...

What system is this on. The newer systems when volume is set to the max, the next call the volume will go down by default. I have my users put the volume to max and then back it down one. Doing this the next call will be at the volume you want. If this does not do the trick, make sure in class of service that saved handset volume is set to yes.

It is on an SX-2000(LW29), any difference than other systems like the 200?
