Something pretty strange has been happening in our lab this week.We have 2 S8300's to load and we have been having issues with that process-for the first time ever.
Server # 1 was received without a factory CD to load from.No problem-we have burned and used .ISO images successfully many times before.
Not this time.I burned and re-burned an ISO 0f 5.2 using different types of discs,Different machines to burn with,Different Downloads of the image all to no avail.
I was however able to load a burned ISO of 5.1.2
Then I tracked down a factory disc of 5.2 and ran the upgrade process on the 5.1.2 without issue.
I tried to run the upgrade with a direct Copy of the factory 5.2-not a burned ISO and that failed as well.
And these installations are not failing-the S8300 is simply failing to see the CD booting at all and I can never ping my service port and subsequently can not telnet in to begin the installation process.
On Server # 2 we were unable to load an ISO of 3.1.2,.4,and .5
I then got my hands on a factory 3.1.2-no deal.
Then I loaded a 5.2 factory disc no problem.
Then I loaded a factory 4.0.4 no issues.
Pretty strange stuff.
Has anyone had any similar problems or am I losing my mind?
Is there a particular restriction or compatability issue related to S8300C v4?
